EX-POLICE OFFICER PLEADS GUILTY TO TRANS BEATING
Former Memphis Tenn. Police officer Bridges McRae, who brutally attacked the late Duanna Johnson, was set to undergo a retrial for the excessive force charges in September.
After his first trial in April resulted in a hung jury, McRae and his lawyers reached a plea bargain. Facing 10 years in jail if convicted by a jury, McRae's guilty plea leaves him with only a two-year sentence.
